Pterodactyl Rex
The P-Rex was built by Tom Kerns, IAC 20780.
“It has been amusing to hear folks attempt to figure out what it is. Not an Eagle, not a Pitts, not a modified anything. The airplane is very competitive in Advanced, and is a “sleeper” on the ground. No flashy paint, just a puzzling S-2. Once in the box, it gets immediate attention with the ability to easily vertical from the bottom of the box to out high, while maneuvering with quicker, crisper controls than a normal S-2.”
Tom competed in the Doug Yost Challenge in the Mid-America Region from 2007 to 2011.
