IAC Chapter 58 New President and Chapter Reorganization

With Keith’s permission I would like to share his plan for 2022. We will not have a contest this year. The Acroblast! is a blast!. It is also stressful. Running a contest requires a core group of chapter members who are willing to work, off and on, for the better part of a year leading up to the event. Keith’s idea is to use 2022 to help build that core. This will be our Fun Year; our contest sabbatical.
We will host at least three practice days at Keller Brothers. If he’s willing, we will work again with Chris Murley for his International Aerobatics Day (June 25, 2022) weekend at Sky Haven, PA. That’s the plan. You all have guided me over the years and we will do the same for Keith.
At some point in March Keith will host a “Zoom” meeting and give all of us an opportunity to help steer our ship. I will continue to write whenever the "Spirit of Aerobatics" moves me or whenever Keith needs someone to convert a concise five-word statement into a full paragraph filled with hypotheticals and mixed metaphors. To conclude: I have never been prouder to be a member of IAC Chapter 58!
A member since 1984, Keith has volunteered as chapter president, vice-president and newsletter editor. He can be found volunteering most often at Northeast Region competitions as technical inspector, and starter. He has competed in gliders in the Primary and Sportsman categories.
A regular contributor to Sport Aerobatics Magazine and In the Loop e-newsletter, Keith's articles center around safety and technical tips. He is the current chairman of the IAC Safety Committee and acts as Safety Director annually for the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships.
