Grass Roots Flight Medal Award: Mike Plyler
I would like to thank all of the volunteers who worked diligently, and with minimal grumbling, through the 113˚ heat of a central Texas summer. Every single pilot worked at least one volunteer position, from battling cactus and predatory critters on the SE boundary to enduring blast furnace conditions on the Judge’s line. You folks were amazing! Special thanks to Scott Poehlmann, Assistant CD, Stephanie Vidrine, Registrar/Scorer, Cliff Hurley, Starter and Dan Clark, Airplane Stacker Extraordinaire for their invaluable assistance in making this contest a success.
Hope to see everyone next year! – Jeffery Poehlmann, Contest Director
