Two proposed by-law amendments were also voted on by the membership. A 2/3 majority of those voting is needed to pass any by-law amendment. The proposed by-law amendment to change the name of the organization to the United States Aerobatic Association, Inc., also known as Aerobatics USA, failed to pass membership approval. The vote was split 50-50 with half voting in favor and half against. President Gerry Molidor reports that the Aerobatics USA line of clothing will still continue and be available for sale to members.

The second proposed by-law amendment to make the U.S. Aerobatic Foundation representative position on the IAC Board a Class lll Director position which are positions held by individuals representing associations IAC is affiliated with (i.e. NAA, EAA, USAF) passed with 67% of those voting in favor of the proposal. The passage of this amendment results in two open Board-appointed seats on the IAC Board. These positions will be filled individuals who can bring necessary business knowledge to the IAC Board (such as a legal representative, marketing professional, financial consultant, etc.).
