Important: As you may have heard, a critical security flaw was recently discovered in commonly-used Internet security software. This software is used by 66% of all secured web sites worldwide, including www.iac.org.
We addressed the issue by installing the software fix and replacing our SSL certificate. In addition, the system will force all site editors and administrators to change their passwords. These steps should prevent any future data losses due to this bug.
Other IAC members are not required to change their passwords, although we encourage you to do so -- especially if you use the same password on other web sites. To change your password, log in and click on your name in the right-hand sidebar -- where it says Hello, Your Name -- then click the Edit tab. If you need any assistance with this, please send an email to webmaster@iac.org.
We are unaware of any data losses resulting from this problem, but one of the nastiest aspects of this bug is that it can be exploited without leaving any a traces. However, please note that we do not store any credit card information, SSNs, birth dates, or other highly sensitive information on the site. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.
I apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for helping keep our web site secure.
