The deadline for the submission of rules proposals and Known sequences for the 2015 contest year has now passed (September 1st) and a document that includes these proposals is now available in PDF.
The rules proposals have been sent to the members of the IAC Rules Committee (RC) which have until mid-October to make their recommendations to Rules Chairman Brian Howard. Once the RC votes on these proposals, the package of recommended rules changes will go to the IAC Board of Directors for its meeting in Oshkosh on 12-13 November.
Similarly, the Known proposals have been sent to an evaluation group, consisting of experienced competition pilots of all backgrounds, for their analysis. Their recommendations will also be presented to the Board in November.
Comments on these proposals is not solicited at this point, as these two groups must first do their work, but once the fnal package of recommendations is put together, member comment will be welcome and can be directed to both the Rules Chairman and the IAC Director who represents your region. We will notify the members at that point.
Please feel free to download the document and discuss at your Chapter meetings and with colleagues.
