Robert Armstrong has been selected by the IAC Hall of Fame committee and the Board of Directors to be inducted into the International Aerobatic Hall of Fame for 2016. The official ceremonies will take place in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on November 9, 2016.

Robert Armstrong "blames" his aviation career on the local Athens, Georgia Board of Education.  A junior high school had been built next to the Athens airport just before the family moved to Athens in 1968.  Of course, his parents made Robert attend that school, which lead to him gazing longingly at the airport through the schoolroom…

You may submit your proposals online at https://www.iac.org/propose-rule-change (member login required), or by emailing to the Rules Committee Chair, Brian Howard, at bk@newattaero.com.

Be sure to provide a synopsis of the change, any current rule numbers that would be affected, your proposed new rule text, and the rationale for the proposal.

Dates for the 2017 US National Aerobatic Championships have now been set: 24-29 September 2017 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Oshkosh offers the best facilities for an aviation event in the world by virtue of its development over the last 45 years as the site for EAA AirVenture. IAC has invested heavily in upgrading its own pavilion there and it will serve as headquarters for the contest. The box will be over the airfield.
