Tim Brill of Reno, Nevada has been appointed IAC's new Safety Chair by President Mike Heuer. Tim replaces Steve Johnson of Nashville in this position.  Steve has faithfully served IAC for a number of years and brought many improvements to our safety programs and culture. 

Tim is a highly experienced aerobatic pilot and instructor with over 7,000 hours of flying time including over 2,500 as a CFI for aerobatics and spin training. He has experience in 47 different types of aircraft and is an aviation author and speaker.

Preparations for the IAC's 70th anniversary of the Pitts Special's first flight are coming together and will include a full roster of forums at the IAC Pavilion. The forums are scheduled daily with four forums per day from Tuesday, July 21 through Saturday July 25.

Congratulations to Brian Branscomb (IAC #434600) and Dave Williams (IAC #436366) for being the first to earn certification as IAC Regional Judges in the 2015 season.  Both attended last month's Palo Alto, California "Introduction to Aerobatic Judging" course taught by Doug Hansmann and Dave Watson.  Dave immediately passed the Regional Judge exam with a score of 92%.  Brian posted a 90%.  With Brian and Dave having already accomplished their required Assistant Judge field experience during the 2014 competition season, Tom Myers and Dave Watson administered the Oral/Practical final…
