We're a little past the All-Star break, halfway through competition season, and the IAC Regional Series is starting to shape up. Every region except the NorthWest has contenders who have flown at least two contests. The SouthWest has pilots already qualified in Sportsman through Unlimited Power. The SouthEast has a valid contest in Advanced. There are many contests remaining to be flown, the warmest months have arrived. Expect to see more pilots reaching the three contest mark. (The NorthWest mark is two contests.)

At its spring 2014 board meeting, the IAC Board approved minor changes to P&P 504, affecting pilots flying for Advanced and Unlimited Power and Glider team selection. These changes are now available for a 2-month comment period. Marked-up and Final copies are provided in PDF format. The Green Mountain Aerobatic Contest in Vermont last weekend was absolutely the place to be for Northeast aerobatic competitors. Forty-three competitors made it to Hartness-Springfield airport (KVSF): two Primary, nineteen Sportsman, fourteen Intermediate, five Advanced, and three Unlimited.

The new, later-in-the-season deadline for proposing Known Programs and rules changes is September 1, only six weeks away.

Known Programs for Primary, Sportsman and Intermediate categories are solicited for both powered aircraft and gliders, as applicable.1  Please submit at least a Form B.  Include a list of figure catalog numbers and K-factors if possible.2
