Although our site includes a Search box, most users will navigate from page to page via the menu bar. So if you've created a Basic Page or an Article, you should definitely add a menu entry. Here's how:
- Look at the page you just created, and note the latter part of the URL. E.g., for www.iac.org/how-to-fly-a-loop, the part you will need is how-to-fly-a-loop.
- Click on Structure -> Menus -> Main Menu -> add link.
- In the Menu link title box, enter a very brief (1- or 2-word) title for your newly created page.
- In the Path box, enter the latter part of the URL from step 1 above, e.g. how-to-fly-a-loop.
- In the Description box, enter a few more words to describe your page, e.g. Having fun with the barnstormers' favorite maneuver
- In the Parent Link pull-down menu, choose the menu item that you want your page to appear under.
- Click the Save button.
If you change your mind about which menu your page should appear under, or want to make it appear higher or lower in the menu list, you can rearrange links by visiting Structure -> Menus -> Main Menu -> list links. Click on the plus sign () next to your new page and drag it to the location you want.
